Moppets
We want MOPS to be a great experience for both you and your children. Here are some of the guidelines that we ask you to observe so that our program will be successful for everyone!
At the first meeting you will find your child’s classroom assignment at the check in table, please see Lynette Allcott if you have any concerns regarding the assignment.
Make any special notes regarding your child on the sign-in sheet make sure your child gets a nametag. We expect some tears so don’t hesitate to ask a teacher to hold or comfort your child as you leave if you anticipate that your child will cling or cry. They are here to help! Once your child is settled in a classroom, we ask that you avoid checking in on them. If you need to check on your child, please ask our MOPPETS Coordinator Lynette Allcott, this helps all the workers and kids (your table leader knows how to find her).
Please DO NOT BRING SICK CHILDREN TO MOPS; this is really important to all moms and best for your kiddos as well. Please label your child’s belongings- bottles, pacifiers, blankets, diaper bags, etc. Unless your child has a special “comfort” item that they need, please do not bring any toys to class.
Sometimes crafts can be messy, so play clothes might be a good idea. If you want a snack for children less than two years of age we ask that you provide what your child is able to eat due to the young age.
We ask that you pick up your child as soon as MOPS is over (11:15) so our sweet helpers can head home. If it is your group’s day to clean up, your table will choose a mom to watch the kids while you clean up. Remember the boat room is open for social time afterward if you want to stay and talk with your friends.
We look forward to having your little MOPPETS join us!
